Sodium Metasilicate Nonahydrate

Appearance and traits:

White crystalline powder. The relative density is 0.7-0.9, and the melting point is 40-48°C. Easily soluble in water and dilute lye; insoluble in alcohol and acid. The aqueous solution is alkaline. It is easy to absorb moisture and deliquescence in the exposed air. It has decontamination, emulsification, dispersion, wetting, permeability and PH buffering capabilities. The more concentrated solution is corrosive to fabrics and skin.

The main purpose:

Mainly used as washing powder, metal cleaning agent, high-efficiency auxiliary agent in dishwashing. Used for cooking cotton yarn. It is also used to remove ink from old paper, decontaminate printing, and recycle vegetable oil. It can also be used as a stabilizer for peroxide bleaching.
